Alleta Jeanette Eddington, age 88, of Tellico Plains was reunited with her husband, Don in heaven on Thursday, December 26, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her husband, listed above; parents, Clyde and Pauline Watson; her son, James Edward “Futz” Hill III; sisters, Mary Jo Phillips and Faye Watson; and brother, CD Watson.
Jeanette was born and raised in Madisonville. After marrying Don, they moved to Oregon. While living there she worked for the board of education and also obtained her pilot’s license. They later moved back to Tellico where Jeanette worked for the Monroe Co. Sheriff’s office as a dispatcher. She enjoyed working with various children’s organizations, she started the AYSO Soccer League and Cub Scout’s in Tellico Plains. Jeanette was known for being a great cook and an avid speed reader, both of which she enjoyed very much.
She is survived by her son and his better half, Andrew Eddington and Lynette Manning; daughter, Suzanne Hill; brother, Donnie Watson; granddaughters and spouse, Heather and Dustin Hall and Aleta Michelle Martin; several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Myers Funeral Home. Celebration of life service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Parker officiating.
