Almarine "Alma" Boring Baker

Alma Boring Baker, 86, a resident of Tellico Plains, formerly of Knoxville, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas Doss and Vivian Boring; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lafayette “Fate” and Louise Baker; husband, Herman Baker; brother, Arlice E. Boring; and sister and brother-in-law, Thelma Irene and Gene Berry.

She is survived by her daughter, Tonya Bunch; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Madell Bunch, Ruth and Dennis Hunt, Dora and Buddy Debety, and Nina Killian; and grandson, Ronald Nicholas Bunch; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Shady Grove Cemetery with Rev. B.J. Wall officiating. The family requests memorial donations to be made to Myers Funeral Home PO Box 132 Tellico Plains, TN 37385.
