Alvin "R.B." Freeman

Alvin “R.B.” Freeman, age 82, went home to be with the Lord, October 8, 2022. He was a lifelong resident of Tellico Plains and attended Piney Grove Church of God in the Norwood Hill community. R.B. loved his family and visiting with all of them. He enjoyed tending to his chickens each day, making sure they were fed and cared for. He will be dearly missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Nona “Terry” Freeman and his parents, Chester and Geneva Bowers Freeman.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Velma Martin, Vergie and William Picklesimer, Carrie Stratton, and Bernice and Larry Henson all of Tellico Plains, TN and Rachel Henson of Maynardville, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Arvil and Sue Freeman of Ellijay, GA, Carl and Kitty Freeman of Tellico Plains, TN, Kenneth Freeman of Chatsworth , GA,  and Osborn Freeman of Tellico Plains, TN; special nephew and niece, Scott Henson and Melina Howard of Tellico Plains, TN; many other nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews who he loved very much.

Family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m., in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Clark officiating. Interment to follow at Piney Grove/Freeman Cemetery.
