Barbara "Pauletta" Best

Barbara “Pauletta” Young Best, age 82, of Tellico Plains went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 27, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Herman Best, Sr.; mother and father, Clyde and Essie Marie Young; sisters, Carra Lee Belcher, Letha Miller and Stella Colvin; brothers, Alvin Young, Hewlette Young and Terry Young.

Paulette was a member of Beaty’s Chapel Baptist Church for over 40 years, where she taught Sunday school for many of those years. She was a long time employee of Tellico Industries and she was a very gifted lady with many talents such as sewing, quilting and writing poems. Pauletta loved her family and was a very special lady to all. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by daughter, Vickey Mull (Arthur “Bud” Jr.) of Jefferson City, TN; sons, Charles David Best of Pleasant View, TN, and Charles Herman Best Jr. of Tellico Plains, TN; brothers, J.D Young (Shirley) of Conley, GA and W.E. Young (Harriette) of Sweetwater, TN; grandchildren, Trey Best (Rena) of Sweetwater, TN and Lesile Suttles of Sweetwater, TN; two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Myers Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Beaty’s Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Beaty’s Chapel Cemetery.
