Barbara Joyce Bradley

Barbara Joyce Young Bradley, 74, of Tellico Plains, TN passed away peacefully at her place of residence, Sunday, September 24, 2023 with her loving family by her side.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward (Bill) and Jewell (Boots) Young; daughter, Wanda Dean Gourley; grandchildren, Dustin Gourley, Jacquline and Chloe Gourley.

Barbara was born and raised in Tellico Plains, TN and the daughter of the late Edward (Bill) and Jewell (Boots) Young as mentioned above. Barbara was a devoted servant of the Lord throughout her life. She was a member of the River of Life Ministries, with a servant’s heart Barbara answered her calling on this Earth as a nurse. She enjoyed arts and crafts, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Wayne Bradley; sons and daughter-in-law, Denny and Treva Gourley, Billy Gourley, Kurt Bradley; seven grandchildren and spouses Crystal and Jared Hudgins, Marissa and Barrett Frye, Tristin and Kobe Bradley, Levi and William Gourley, Chase Gourley; six great grandchildren, Charity and Troy Hudgins, Richard Gourley, Caroline, Winter, and Barrett Frye; sisters and brothers-in-laws Darlene and Walter (Worm) Bradley, Glenise Bradley, and Janie and Doug Walker; brother, Rickey and Hazel Young; brother-in-law, Jerry Bradley; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m., in the Chapel with Rev. Mickey Payne officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home Wednesday, September 27, 2023 and proceed to Hunt Cemetery for the 12:00 noon committal service. Myers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
