Bettie Louise Bohata

Bettie L. Bohata, age 87, of Tellico Plains, TN, formerly of Conyers GA, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at The Waters of Sweetwater in Sweetwater, TN.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Butch Sullivan; husband, Rudy Bohata; son, Steve Bohata; grandson, Charlie Rushing; and sister-in-law, Sherry Sullivan.

Bettie enjoyed many things in life including crocheting and knitting, with one of her favorites being fishing. She also enjoyed going to the casino with her dear friend Mary Grant. Most of all she loved time spent with her family. Each one held a special place in her heart. Bettie's love will be cherished and remembered by those she leaves behind.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Rex "Peanut" Collins of Tellico Plains, TN, Nancy and Dale Rushing of Inverness, FL; sons and daughter-in-law, Richard and Julie Bohata of Dallas, GA, and Jeff Bohata of Marion, IN; daughter-in-law, Kristina Bohata Fort Wayne of IN; brother, Jimmy Sullivan of Richland, MS; grandchildren, Chelsey Collins, Reagan Collins Ambler and husband, Brink, Ricky Bohata, Josh Rushing and Colleen; great-grandchildren, Miller Ambler, Mira Belle Ambler, Kiara Rushing, Faith Kayla, Archer Rushing; niece and spouse Karen and Michael Warren; nephew and spouse, Jamie and Mandie Sullivan; several great nieces and nephews, and many close friends; special friend, Mary Grant.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens.
