Carilyn Powers Rogers

Carilyn Powers Rogers, age 72, of Tellico Plains gained her angel wings Tuesday, March 17, 2020 while surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Eugene Rogers and parents, Reed & Lela Powers.

She was of the Baptist faith. Carilyn enjoyed working outside in her flowers and picking blackberries. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Marolyn Tina Underwood and Tammi & Corey Kadau; son, Preston Clapham; special sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn & Charles Tallent and several other brothers & sisters; grandchildren, Jimmy Clapham, Dustin (Trisha) Williams, Jennifer Clapham, Tamitha Watson, Howard Clapham, Joshua Williams, Tyler Kadau and Katelyn Kadau; great grandchildren, Trinity Richeson, Halie Clapman, Hendrix Frye, Gracie Richeson, Sylvia Schaub, Aiden Jackson, Zaden Kadau, Camdon Kadau, Bryden Kadau, Korey Tallent, Caylin Jones, Naysa Janey and Calerie Janey; special niece, Jeanette Williams, several nieces and nephews and many other family.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2020 at Myers Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with Layspeaker Corey Kadau officiating.
