Carl Cross

Carl Cross, age 74, a native of Tellico Plains and a resident of Madisonville went home to be with Jesus Friday, November 16, 2018 at his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dessie Cross; son, Michael Cross; sister, Deloris Melton; brothers, Raymond and Robert Cross; brother-in-law, Mike McKinley.

He spent his spare time working on lawn mowers and small engine repair. Carl took a lot of pride in his yard and enjoyed feeding and watching the hummingbirds. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Bobby and Lisa McDaniel  of Tellico Plains, Roger and Reba Cross of Tellico Plains, Lisa Duncan of Madisonville, Kathy Ricker of Madisonville; sisters and brothers, Evelyn Myers of Cleveland, Abern and Joann Cross of Cleveland, LaVerne McKinley of Tellico Plains, Beatrice and Lee Carver of Cleveland, Sandra and Gary Smith of Tellico Plains; and William Cross of Madisonville; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 18 , 2018 at Myers Funeral Home. Funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Walker officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 19 at Myers Funeral Home and proceed to Beaty’s Chapel Cemetery for the 12 noon committal service.
