Charles Henry Walker

Charles Henry Walker, 82, of Knoxville, TN passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Elias Walker and Blanche Kimsey Walker; sister, Mary Ann Hutto.

Charlie served in the US Army from 1962-1965, and worked for K25 and Y12 for 33 years. He and his beloved wife June married in 1970, recently celebrating 54 years of marriage. Together they had two sons, James and David Walker. Although Charlie was quiet, his sense of humor and wittiness made everyone around want to be his friend. He loved fishing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, June Walker; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Gillian Walker, and David and Emily Walker; and two grandsons.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Miller’s Chapel Cemetery with Dr. Gerald Atkins officiating.  Memorial donations may be made in Charlie’s memory to Parkinson’s Foundation 5757 Waterford District Drive Suite 310 Miami, FL 33126 or at www.parkinson’s.org.
