Charstie Maxine O'Dell

Charstie O’Dell, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 27, 2022 in her home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 86.

She is preceded in death by husband, Jalmar O’Dell; youngest son, Marcus O’Dell; parents, Bud and Laura Bell; brother, M. L. Bell; sisters, Lola Bell, Eva Gay Riddick, and Clara Bell.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Charstie was member of New Providence Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending her time sewing and quilting.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Eva  and Larry Valentine; son and daughter-in-law, Mack  and Mary O’Dell; daughter-in-law and husband,  Denice Adams and Steve Adams; grandchildren and spouses, Jason Valentine, Justin Valentine and wife, Lauren, Alicia and husband, Adam Ridings, Chris and Telisha O’Dell, Deshane and wife, Shea O’Dell; great-grandchildren, Kendy and Kimber Shaw, Haylee and Chase Ridings, Iris and Jase O’Dell, Anthony Aguilera, Cyanna and Wyatt Valentine; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sarah Ann Bell, Eunavee and Kenneth Powers, Estalene and Benny Jenkins, Donna and Dennis Perry, Mary and Joe Mincey; brothers and sisters-in-law Frankie and Connie Bell, Jim and Betty Bell, Jack and Bonnie Bell; multiple nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at New Providence Missionary Baptist Church located at 8575 New Hwy 68 Tellico Plains TN, 37385. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m., with Pastor Rick Atkins and Rev. Gerald Lynn officiating. Family will assemble at Myers Funeral Home 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 1, and proceed to Gray Memorial / New Providence Cemetery for a 11:00 committal service.
