Obituary

Christina Wakefield, age 57, of Tellico Plains, was welcomed into her heavenly home on Sunday, May 17, 2026 with her devoted family surrounding her bedside.

She was born in Tacoma Park Maryland to Afton Wakefield and Ramona Jessup.

She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Kylianne and Chase Gregory. She also leaves behind her two grandchildren, Charlianne and Judah Gregory and her four older siblings, Terry Kilpatrick, Debbie Holmes, Scott Wakefield and Lani Hall.

Christina lived a very full life. She found such joy and value in time together with friends and family. She enjoyed gathering around the table to share a meal, sitting around a fire singing worship songs, and giving thoughtful gifts with every visit. It was evident she loved her family and truly devoted her life to them.

Christina showed Jesus’ love to anyone she came in contact with in such a beautiful way. She had many great accomplishments in life as well as her education and career, but if you knew her, you knew she was most proud of her love for the Lord. She loved to share testimonies and stories of God’s miracles. She was in awe of His word and searched it daily. As a Christian, she fully believed in Matthew 8, that as believers, we are called to do what the disciples did; walk the Earth praying for others to be set free and healed, and declare the truth of the Gospel over others. She lived her life for the Lord, and was able to see many signs, wonders, and miracles because of it.

She was a treasure and is missed by so many. Her legacy lives on through her family and friends. She prepared the way and now the next generation will carry on the work she was doing for the Lord.

We can’t blame the Lord for being ready to have such a beautiful, sweet spirit join Him in Heaven. Her light, her worship, and her love will be greatly missed here. When you think of Christina, remember this scripture; Isaiah 61:1-3.
