Claude Harold Yarberry

Claude Harold Yarberry, age 72, of Tellico Plains, went to be with the Lord, Friday, July 1, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Pat Yarberry; parents, Gene and Lucille Yarberry; brother Clayton Yarberry; sister, Betty Stanley; half-brother, John Yarberry; infant sister, Janice Yarberry.

Claude was a truck driver for many years of his life and also worked as a concrete finisher. He was volunteer firefighter for the Conasauga Valley Fire Department. A handyman of many trades, always willing to help all his neighbors and friends. Claude was called a great man by everyone in the Rural Vale Community and Tellico Plains. He was loved by everyone that knew him and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his sons, Eddie Yarberry and fiancé Amy Britton, Claude Jr. “Bugs” and Faye Yarberry; grandchildren, Nicholas Yarberry, Brandi Armstrong, Geoffrey Yarberry, Casey Watkins, Sam Yarberry and Katherine Yarberry; great-grandchildren, Naomi Westall, Marley Martin, and Nevaeh Yarberry; sister, Joyce Todd; brother, Danny and Kim Yarberry; many nieces and nephews; and several friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday July 5, 2022 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m. in Myers Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends will assemble at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home Wednesday, July 6, 2022 and proceed to Rural Vale Cemetery for the 1:00 p.m. committal service.
