Dafri Sue (Bryan) Fouts age 72, died on April 16, 2024 at The Waters of Sweetwater.

She was born at Ft. Jackson Army Hospital in Columbia, SC, on July 15, 1951 to her late parents, Mary Neal (Lee) and H. Ross Bryan, Lt. Col. Retd.

She is survived by her son, Bryan Lee Fouts; her brother, Mahlon Bryan of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Deidri Bryan of Palm Harbor FL, and Heidi (Roger) Franklin of Vonore, TN; nieces, Heidi Brackett, Catherine Bryan, and Laura Neal Russell; nephews, Adam Bryan and Daniel Franklin.  Also, a dear cousin, Mrs. J.D. (Sissy) Burris and her family of Tellico Plains, TN.

She graduated from Tellico Plains High School and attended Hiwassee College. She was employed at Cagle’s Grocery in her hometown and later in Cleveland, Tennessee at Red Foods. She was known among her family and friends for the birthday cakes she made, her gifts of neck pillows that she fashioned from her grandmother’s pattern, and for the beautiful quilts which she made over the years. Many of her pillows and quilts were fashioned with UT logos for those Tennessee fans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Elda Bryan, her grandparents, Fred and Gussie (Pitts) Lee, great-aunts, Mrs. C.A. (Mayme) Scott and Miss Jennie Lee; aunts, Sue Lee Brown and Neva Lee Chumney; and uncles, Maldon, Fred Jr., and Charles W. Lee.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., in the Tellico City Cemetery with Rev. B.J. Wall officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Tellico Plains or to a charity of your choice. Myers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
