OBITUARY FUNERAL NOTICE

W. “Dale” Cantrell, age 75, of Coker Creek went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 3, 2021 at the home of his brother, Sidney Jones in Coker Creek, TN.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn (Breedlove) Cantrell; father, Clyde Jones; mother, Josephine (Cantrell) Debty and step-father, William E. Debty; two brothers, Aaron and Junior Cantrell.

Dale was a member of Antioch Church. He enjoyed the outdoors where he spent a lot of his time ginseng hunting and camping. He also enjoyed watching traffic go by. Dale will be dearly missed by many.

He is survived by his brothers, David (Robbie) Cantrell of Mississippi, Sidney (Violet) Jones of Coker Creek; step-brothers and step-sisters, Harold (Jeanette) Debty of Tellico Plains, Paul (Peggy) Debty of Coker Creek, Barbara (Guy) Brannon of Coker Creek, Jean (David) Wagner of Tellico Plains and Chris (Dave) Scott of Athens; nephews, Reed (Angel) Jones of Coker Creek, Jennifer (Waylon) Powell of Coker Creek, Thomas (Loren) Cantrell and baby Jack, Zack Cantrell and Jake Cantrell; great nieces, Haylie Marie Jones and Kaylie Renee’ Jones; several cousins and other extended family members.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Myers Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Coker Creek Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Stewart officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family has asked for memorial donations to Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 132, Tellico Plains, TN 37385.
