Dan F. Bett, Jr.

Dan Bett, Jr., age 69, of Madisonville, TN, won the battle and claimed his victory in Heaven, Sunday, July 24, 2022.

He had many passions in life including; Civil War reenactments as a cannoneer, fishing and aggravating his family every chance he got. Dan loved his grandkids more than life itself. He was a simple man and loved the simple things life had to offer. Dan will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Dan Bett, Sr.; mother-in-law, Mary Thorne; brother-in-law, Lanny Stinnett, Jr. and sister-in-law, Teresa Stinnett Hensley.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Janny Stinnett Bett; daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Ralph Lawson, Stephanie and Aaron Lucas, JoAnn and James Hill,  Tosha Pesterfield and Crystal Pesterfield; mother, Audrey Bett; 5 brothers and sisters; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Keven Manning and Bonita “Missy” and Allen Borden; grandchildren, Jacob and Amber Gryder, Kobe and Willow Lucas, Nevaeh Back, and Hunter Hill; special great-granddaughter, Huxley Gryder; good friend, Chelsea Bivens; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m., in Myers Funeral Home chapel with speaker, James Baker officiating. Family and friends will assemble at Baker’s Cemetery on Friday, July 29th for the 2:00 p.m. committal service.
