Darren Lee Thomas, age 57, of Tellico Plains, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Mary Ann Thomas; and brother, Michael Thomas.

Darren was a lifelong resident of Tellico Plains, TN. He loved the Lord and his family dearly. He enjoyed the outdoor life from camping, hunting to fishing, embracing nature whenever he could. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and the Tennessee Volunteers; their games and races were always on in his house. Though he is no longer with us, Darren’s love, laughter, and memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He is survived by his beautiful and loving wife, Annessa Thomas; daughter and son-in-law, Cassie and TJ Ferguson; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Trystan Thomas; his pride and joy grandchildren, Caylee and Mylee Ferguson, Holly Ann Tayburn, Doc and Rayleigh Thomas; sister and brother-in-law, Tammie and Kenneth Stiles; brother, Brian Scott Thomas; several nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved as well as all his family.

The family will have a time for friends to come and remember Darren’s legacy from at 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Myers Funeral Home. No formal service will be held. Myers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
