Deborah McLemore, age 62, of Tellico Plains, TN passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026 at her home.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Crandall McLemore; brother, Jerry McLemore; sister, Donna Lowe; father, Buddy McLemore; “Aunt Sally” McLemore; grandparents, Gladys and Guy Crandall, Roxie and Odd Riley McLemore; precious fur babies, Abby, Summitt, Jersey, Catch, Sydney, Parker, Angel, and Rusty.

A lifelong Lady Vol basketball fan, she normally named her pets after a favorite Lady Vol. She loved to travel, and collecting trinkets along the way. Gem collecting and rock hunting, as well as antiquing and gardening were favorite past times. She would often remind friends and family of Lady Vol basketball games so that they could accompany her to the games. Debbie was a firm believer in community service. She loved supporting the humane society and food drives, as well as donating to school supply drives. She would often pull all the tags off an angel tree to bring joy to a child in need. She showed love to family and friends through her relentless giving of herself. She was the most generous person and deserved so much more than this disease.

She is survived by her sister, Laurie McLemore; uncle, Sherman McLemore; aunt and uncle, Brenda and Eddie McLemore; niece, Ashley Lowe (Devin) Williams; nephew, Chris Lowe; brother-in-law, Johnny Lowe; as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, great nephews, and fur baby Tamika. Special friends Virginia, Missy, and Ron were invaluable in their support and love that they showed Debbie. Tori and Jennifer were devoted caregivers for Debbie in her toughest battle.
