Deidrea "Deedee" Phillips Billue Carter

Deidrea “Deedee” Phillips Billue Carter, age 47, a native of Tellico Plains, TN and a resident of South Carolina, passed away, Thursday, March 21, 2023.

She is preceded in death by, grandmother, Loche Hunt Newman, grandparents, George and Gilda Phillips and Earl Lee and Ruby Millsaps; uncles, Chester Millsaps and Richard Phillips; aunts, Carol and Kathleen.

Deedee was a 1994 graduate of Tellico Plains High School. She started college at UT, Knoxville and transferred to University of South Carolina where she obtained her degree in communications and publication. She worked at Savannah River Site and for UPS for years. After her second child was born, she chose to be a full-time mother. Later she went back to work choosing a career in the medical field. Everyone that knew Deedee, knew how much she loved Tellico Plains, her family, friends, and Tellico Beach Drive-In. She enjoyed every moment spent in her hometown with family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Brice and Aubree Billue; husband, Daniel Carter of South Carolina; parents, Larry and Christine Hunt of Tellico Plains; sisters, Kristen Carlon and Andrea Phillips of Rhode Island; brother, Brian Hunt of Tellico Plains; uncles and aunts, Bill and Carolyn Phillips of Knoxville and Paul and Loretta Mason of Athens, TN, Robert Millsaps of Loudon; several cousins; many sister friends, Ashley B., Kristie P., Michelle M., Kristie H., Joy E., Shelby F., Lisa C., Beverly M., Sandy W., Shannon B., Yolanda H., and many more close family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to come celebrate Deedee's life, Saturday, April 29,2023 at 1:00p.m. in the chapel of Myers Funeral Home. Please come and share the special stories and memories made with Deedee throughout the years.
