Donnie Richard Baxter

Donnie Richard Baxter, age 54, of Vonore, TN, went to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Tennova Turkey Creek, Knoxville, TN.He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Emma Woods, great-grandmother, Jessie Otwell, and step-father, J. Harold Blair. Hissurvivorsinclude daughter,Tasha Baxter of Oak Ridge, TN; son and daughter-in-law,Cody and Hannah Baxter of Madisonville, TN; mother,Wanda Blair of Vonore, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law;Carla and Wayne Tipton of Vonore, TN andKim and Scott Sutton of Vonore, TN; brother and sister-in-law;Mike and Michelle Blair of Vonore, TN; grandchildren;Lexy, Clay, Rhianna, and Trent; best friend;Joey Steele of Vonore, TN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2016 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery with his son, Rev. Cody Baxter officiating. No formal visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home.
