Doris Louise Plemons Shadden, 92, a native of Tellico Plains, resident of Maryville, was reunited with her loving husband in Heaven Thursday, May 1, 2025.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, George L. Shadden; parents, Hob and Reba Plemons; brother, Bob Plemons; sisters, Mary Thorpe, Lila Teague, Gwen Nelms, Ruth Young, and June Plemons.
Doris was a faithful member of Springview Baptist Church in Maryville, TN. She had a God given talent of singing since her childhood. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Doris lived a full and beautiful life her love touched countless lives, and her memory will be cherished forever.
She is survived by her sons, Joel Shadden, Jeffrey Shadden; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Bobby Betsill; grandchildren and spouses, Kati and Shane Blanton, Jordan and Phung Shadden, Jennifer and Cliff Williams, Amy and Anthony Soriano, Courtney and Andrew Ignaffo, Kyle and Cara Betsill, and Paige Betsill; great-grandchildren, Conner and Makenna Blanton, George and Seth Shadden, Jackson and Brooks Toney, Tucker and Benson Betsill; sisters, Jewel Parker, and Judy Turpin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim Plemons, Gerald and Shirley Plemons, and Jerry and Linda Plemons; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friend, Thema Murphy.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Ben Ward officiating. Family and friends will proceed to Shady Grove Cemetery for the committal service.
