Douglas Farold Cagle

Douglas Farold Cagle, 85, a native of Tellico Plains and a resident of Cleveland, TN went home to be with the Lord October 20, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert B. and Icie Frances Isbill Cagle; one brother, Dennis Harold Cagle, and two sisters, Mary Sue Hamilton and Valerie Headrick; brother-in-law, Richard Shaw.

He was a member of Cligan Ridge Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years,Shirley Shaw Cagle; daughter and son-in-law,Tammy Cagle Green and spouse, Mike; grandson,Michael Heath Green and wife, Caren; special great granddaughter,Piper Elizabeth Green; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Beryl Cagle,Bonnie and Glen Belcher,Lois Shaw andShelby and nephew/brother-in-law, Bob Hamilton; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Myers Funeral Home. Funeral service to follow in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with nephew, Rev. Dennis Cagle officiating. Internment immediately following at Piney Grove Cemetery. Benny Harris, Glen Belcher, Heath Green, Josh Hamilton, Christian Hamilton, Billy Hamilton, Mike Hamilton and Britton Cagle will serve as pallbearers.
