Douglas "Doug" John Beaver

Douglas “Doug” John Beaver took his Eagle Flight on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 56 years old. He was born on May 2, 1967.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Kenny; grandparents, Alonzo and Edith Beaver and William “Bill” a md Bertha Wilshom; aunts Louise, Rhonda and Effie Lou; uncles, Howard, Otis, Andy and Fred.

Doug was a member of Coker Creek Ruritan Club and Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Dooly, GA. He loved the Lord with all his heart and spent his time teaching God’s word and ministering to people spanning several states which include, Oregon, Washington, Texas, Ohio and Tennessee. Doug also had a street ministry in Coker Creek, TN. His favorite scripture in the Bible was Romans chapter six.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Lynn (Murphy) Beaver of Coker Creek, TN; parents, Herbert and Shirley Beaver of Blairsville, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Rodney Beaver and Lee and Laura Beaver; sisters and brother-in-law, Sandra Griffith and Lisa and Dan Fox; nieces, Kayleigh Beave, Kristin Griffith and Valeri Griffith; nephew and spouse, Austin and Megan Beaver; many cousins, aunts and Uncle Herbert Beaver; step-children, Amanda Johnson and Daniel Murphy; step-grandchildren, Jason Murphy, Tiffianni Taylor, Caleb Debuty, Destini Bowen and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday May 22, 2023 at Myers Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Wayne Stockstill officiating.
