Douglas Todd Murphy

Douglas “Todd” Murphy, age 61, a resident of Coker Creek community, TN passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Kenneth D. Murphy; mother, Jane Wear Henry; stepfather, Ed Henry; grandparents, Frank Sr. and Mamie Murphy and John B. and Ruby Wear.

Todd enjoyed riding motorcycles and playing with his granddaughter. He never met a stranger, loved telling stories, and making people laugh. You know he loved you when he picked on you until he made you mad. All his family and friends will cherish the memories made and the love they shared.

He is survived by sons; Ryan and Joanna Cox, Joshua Murphy and fiancé Kelly Ghormley; brother, Scott “Bunky” Murphy; sister, Kenya and Chuck Weigel; granddaughter, Jammie Cox; Stepmother, Louise Murphy; several nieces and nephews; many close friends, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Myers Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2022 in the chapel of Myers Funeral Home with Larry Walker officiating. Committal service will follow at Coker Creek Cemetery.
