Edward "Gene" Eugene Norwood

Edward “Gene”  Eugene Norwood, age 80, of Tellico Plains, TN, was reunited with his mom and dad in heaven, Friday, September 03, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Uless and Janie Norwood; brothers, Dubert, Haskell, Archie, Harvest “Bill” and Oughtley Norwood; sisters, Sarah Thomas, Bernice Carter and Bessie Wilson.

Gene enjoyed fishing and ginseng digging. He was a very loving husband and father and he will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Norwood; children and son-in-law, Regina “Susanne” Edge, Donna Jones, Billy Joe Norwood, Cheryl Norwood and Janie (Henry) Marsingill; sister, Daisy Passmore; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A time of celebration for Gene’s family and friends will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 in the chapel of Myers Funeral Home with ministers Henry Marsingill and Clint Duke officiating.
