Edward L. White

Edward L. White, age 78, of Tellico Plains passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at his home while surrounded by his loving family.

He was the son of the late Charles and Marie White.

Ed was a longtime member of Unicoi Baptist Church. A beloved sewing machine mechanic and car detailer in the Monroe County area.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruth White; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Letitia “Tish” White of Etowah and Greg and Violet White of Tellico Plains; grandchildren, Andrew, Ethan and Brandon White; great grandson, Mikiah White; siblings and spouses, Gene and Delsie White, Jennevlyn Ramey and Paulette and Tommy Nix; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Myers Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Prock officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 9 at Myers Funeral Home and proceed to Unicoi Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service. Andrew, Ethan, Brandon and Jeff White, Scott and Charlie Phillips, Carl and Glenn Williams will serve as pallbearers.
