Elzie H Peals

Elzie H. Peals, age 81, of Aiken, SC, born and raised in Tellico Plains, a devoted husband of Marilyn Drawdy Peals, received his rich welcome in Heaven on Friday, January26, 2018.

Elzie retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass in 1991after a 30 year career. He was an active and faithful servant of Millbrook Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are his children: Felicia (Mike) McAlpin, Tonya (Scott) Shipes, and Lea (Don) Carter; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five sisters, Icie Myers, Eva Myers, Robbie Boring, Johnnie Hinton Fletcher and twin sister, Delzie Young; two brothers, Verlin Peals and J.C. "Jr." Peals; and several nieces and nephews.

Elzie was preceded in death by his grandson, Wills Carter, one sister, Clara Peals; five brothers, Elick "Red" Peals, Clifford Peals, Doug Peals, Charles Peals and infant brother, Jerry Peals and his parents, J.C. "Lum" and Ellen Hamby Peals.

A celebration of life service will be held Friday, February 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., at Millbrook Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service.
