Emma Brannon Walker

Emma Brannon Walker, age 70, of Tellico Plains passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David D. Walker; parents, George and Nellie Lemings Brannon; brothers, Johnny "Sam" Brannon, Daniel Brannon and Edward Brannon; sisters, Irene Dockery, Aileen Brannon, and Patricia Gay; brothers-in-law, Wayford Frerichs, Dillard Dockery, Edward Gay, and Cletus Evans; sister-in-law, Ruth Brannon.

She was a loving mother and grandmother

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Rosa Walker of Tellico Plains; grandsons, Brian D. and Christopher Walker both of Tellico Plains; brothers and sisters-in-law, Stanley and Ina Brannon, Bernard and Ersa Brannon, and Guy and Barbara Brannon all of Coker Creek; sisters, Christine Frerichs of Coker Creek and Hilda Evans of Benton; sisters-in-law, Rose Brannon of Madisonville, Bennie Brannon, Rosie Walker, and Kay Peels all of Tellico Plains; brothers-in-law, Alfred, Reed and Frankie Walker all of Tellico Plains; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2018 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carroll Hamilton officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Myers Funeral Home and proceed to Ironsburg Cemetery for the 2:00 p.m. committal service.
