Enos Lawrence Mcclellan

Enos Lawrence (Foxy) McClellan, 96, of Tellico Plains, TN passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Wood Village in Sweetwater, TN.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Pansy McClellan; parents, Wiley W. and Mamie Isbill McClellan; brothers, Carson and Ray McClellan; second wife, Frances DeFord McClellan; son-in-law, Danny Houston.

E.L. was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Tellico Plains. His love for his church and his faith always guided him throughout life’s journey. He worked 40 plus years serving as a station agent for Norfolk Southern Railway. After retirement he moved back to his hometown of Tellico Plains, a place very dear to his heart. Those he loved, he loved unconditionally.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Betty McClellan; daughters, Terri Houston and Jenny Brent; grandchildren and spouses, Michael and Amy Yates, Richard and Melissa Houston, Kristie Houston; great grand-children, Hayden and Collin Yates, Harper and Mason Houston, Brayden Francis, and Lucy and Luke Cournoyer; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Shady Grove Cemetery in Tellico Plains, with Bob Coder and Ronnie Lynn officiating.
