Gail Brannon

Gail Brannon, age 67, from Tellico Plains, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 27, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister and friend to many.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Irene Taylor; father, Melvin Taylor; daughter, Rebecca Davis; sisters, Redena Cole, Barbara Stansbury; brothers, Gennis and D.T. Taylor.

Gail was born the youngest of eight children on June 7, 1954 to Irene and Melvin Taylor of Tellico Plains. Gail became a Christian at a young age. She grew up attending Sandy Lane Community Church in Coker Creek. As an adult she attended Rogers Creek Baptist Church in Athens, TN. She returned to her home church, Sandy Lane six years ago when she married Ronald Brannon. She and Ronald loved to ride motorcycles and enjoy the beautiful views of East Tennessee. She said God sent her a good Christian man. She retired from Thomas and Betts with over 25 years of service. She loved to work on projects around the house and she also enjoyed making crafts and gardening. No matter what project, she could do it. Gail will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Brannon; children, Brandon Davis, MaryAnn Byers (Israel), Ronnie Brannon (Rhonda); sisters, JanVe McDaniel, Laverne Moser (Wayne); brother, Kenneth Taylor (Dale); grandchildren, Nicole Harris (Michael), Brooke Moody (Michael), Amber Davis, Cody Womack, Chaz Davis, Cortland Davis, Devin Collier, Jonathan Brannon (Bailee), Nellie Brannon and Ryle Black; great-grandchildren, Canaan Harris, Israel Harris, Shiloh Harris, Audrey Moody, Colt Womack, Nevaeh Davis, Malcolm Davis, Kinley Collier and Waylon Brannon.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Stewart officiating. The family request memorial donations be made to The Gideons International, P.O. Box 821, Sweetwater, TN 37874 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
