Glenn (Tadpole) Upton

Glenn “Tadpole” Upton, age 68, of Tellico Plains, originally from California and Oregon, was reunited with loved ones in heaven on Friday, October 28, 2022, with his loving family by his side.

Glenn came to Tennessee where he met and married Audra Long in 1981. They made their home together in Tellico Plains. He loved everything about his beautiful town, his friends, relatives and work friends. Glenn never met a stranger, always a cut-up and a big kidder.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Upton and mother, Connie St. Mark; brothers, Bobby, Ricky, and Gary Upton and Kenneth Walls; sister, Gloria Upton.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Audra Long Upton; son and daughter-in-law, Joshua G. and Heather Upton; daughters and son-in-law, Tammy and Mike Lee and Becky Upton; grandchildren, Michael Queen Jr., Nicole Blair, Logan Upton and Ruby Upton; close best friend (like a brother), George Nette; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joann Gomez, Tonya and Keith Hutchings (family), Christina and Fred McClain (family), Jennifer Stevens and family; brother-in-law, Jarvis Long; sisters-in-law and brother- in-law, Katrina and Ken Carter and Andra Simpson; good friend, Eddie Crowder; lots of cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Myers Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Teague officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations to be made to Myers Funeral Home PO Box 132 Tellico Plains, TN 37385.
