Gregory Scott Colvin, 69, of Tellico Plains, TN passed away unexpectedly, Monday, September 21, 2026.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Colvin; Father, Beecher Colvin, mother and step-father, Beulah and Glen Giles; and grand-daughter, Madison Olivia Teague.

Greg was a deacon of Miller Chapel Church for 44 years. He worked many years at Fort Loudon Electrical Company as a lineman, before starting underground locating. He was a well-known member of the Turkey Creek and Monroe County community. He enjoyed spending his free time turkey and bear hunting. Above all, Greg deeply loved and cherished every moment he spent with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Debra Colvin; daughters and sons-in-law, Lacey and Jesse Teague, Lindsey and Cody Yates; son, Josh Colvin and fiancée Leslie Ellison; grandchildren, Malaki, Noah, Megan, Jasper, and Memphis; sister and brother-in-law, Patrisha and Dale Keller; step-mother, Carolyn Colvin.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2026 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Allen Watson and Rev. Micah Collins officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 12:00 noon, Friday, September 25, 2026 at Myers Funeral Home and will proceed to Miller’s Chapel Cemetery for the 1:00 p.m. committal service with Rev. Micah Collins and Rev. Carroll Hamilton officiating.
