Hazel Kyle English

May 23, 1942 — August 15, 2021

Hazel Kyle McIntyre English, age 79, of Tellico Plains, TN, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Katie Torbett McIntyre and great-grandmother, Phobie Allen Johnson.

Our beloved mom and Nana went home to heaven to be with Jesus. She loved adventure and loved to dance, but most of all loved her family. She loved old cars, riding Harley’s, had a huge collection of dolls, tea pots and bells. She had a great love for music and loved lemons and flowers. She also enjoyed mowing her own yard. She was the president of her high school class and always held class reunions that were fabulous. Hazel always loved having her children and grandchildren home with her, especially at the holidays.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Sherrie and Terry Vance, Sabrina English, Elizabeth “Libby” Shannon; son, Jerry Kyle English; grandchildren, Max Vance, Lars and Cheyenne Shannon, and Saben Kelly; sister and brother-in law, Gennett and Fred Miller; brothers, Calvin and Ginger McIntyre,  and Ovas and Gail McIntyre; nephews and nieces, Shane and Jill Hawkins, Heather and Jason McIntyre, and P.W. (Patrick McIntyre) Rick English, Dawn Williams, Jamie Sisson and Janie Davey; several great nieces and nephews; special friends, Norman Ray Renshaw and Sue Husky; bonus daughters, Margie Long, Linda, Terri, Sharon, Freida, Debbie, Lynette, Tomoa, Carla, Tonya, Kamryn, and several other children and grandchildren she considered her own; and many special cousins, aunts, and special friends.

A time of celebration for Hazel’s family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Myers Funeral Home.
