Hobert Martin

Hobert Martin, age 75, of Coker Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 20, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Martin; sons, Ricky and Michael Hooper; grandson, Jonathan Jones; parents, Marion and Bertha Martin; brother, Hoyt Martin; sister, Omie Martin. He was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church.

He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, David & Julie Martin of Vonore, TN; daughter, Robyn Jones of Tellico Plains, TN; son-in-law and dear friend, Irie Jones of Tellico Plains, TN; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Moore of Englewood, TN,Joyce Croft of Tellico Plains, TN andPatsy & Donnie Powell of Tellico Plains, TN; brothers and sister-in-law, Roy Martin of Tellico Plains, TN,Troy Martin of Tellico Plains, TN, andRalph & Faye Martin of Tellico Plains, TN; five granddaughters, four grandsons and six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Myers Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Webb officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2016 and proceed to Altoona Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.
