Howard "Cotton" Lynn

Howard “Cotton” Lynn, age 74, a native of Tellico Plains and a resident of Madisonville, TN passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 while surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and Lula Lynn; brothers, Haskell “Moon” Duckett and Jessie “Sprig” Duckett; sisters, Dorothy Lynn, Mary Lou White and Beulah Williams; brother-in-law, Eddie McDaniel; special friend, Zack Powell.

Cotton retired from the Monroe County Highway Department after over 30 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and loved being on the river.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Danielle and Josh Watson of Madisonville; son and daughter-in-law, Byran and Joanne Lynn of Maryville; grandchildren, Aaron Lynn, Neyland & Ty Watson; sister-in-law, Rita McDaniel & family; brother and sister-in-law, R.H. and Mary Lynn of Maryville; nieces and nephews, Gary Duckett & family, Gabby & Sandra Russell & family and Barry Duckett & family.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Myers Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 24 at Millers Chapel Church with Rev. Steve Teague officiating. Committal service following at Millers Chapel Cemetery.
