Hubert Ray Wilson

Hubert Ray Wilson, 74, of Tellico Plains passed away peacefully at his home on September 16, 2021. He was a great man of God who dedicated over 40 years of his life to preaching the gospel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Delcie Baker Wilson, first wife, Polly Smith Wilson; second wife, Norma Duffy Wilson; brother, Ralph Wilson; and sister, Blanche Wilson Thomas.

Hubert was the Pastor of 68 Holiness House of Prayer for many years. He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting and camping but most of all he loved preaching Gods word. Hubert was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

His survivors include his children and spouses, Shoney (Vicki) and Cotton Bivens, Becky and Larry Roberts, Sissy and Rodney Parson, Pat and Shauna Wilson, all of Tellico Plains, and Jeff and Angie Mobley and Tim Mobley of Madisonville; step-sons, Chris and Rhonda Waugh and children, of Tellico Plains and Jeff and Sonya Waugh and children, of Cleveland; grandchildren and spouses, Brody and Katelin Bivens, Kaylee and Brandon Burnette, Dakota Roberts, Javin and Christina Parson, Jessi and Z Lightning, Erin and Jeffrey Benson, Sydney Wilson, Cody and Noelle Mobley and Samuel Mobley; great-grandchildren, Finlee Rae and Dax Wylder, Wesley and Claira Parson, and Waylon Mobley; brother, JR Wilson of Madisonville; sisters and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Phillips, Imogene and Dillard Davis, and Barbara McDaniel, all of Tellico Plains.

Myers Funeral Home chapel will be open for viewing at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 for friends to pay their respects. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Myers Funeral Home. A Going Home service will be held 7:00 p.m., Saturday, in the chapel with Bro. Wayne Philbeck and Bro. Larry Morrow officiating. Family and friends will assemble at Myers Funeral Home at 12 noon Sunday, September 19 and proceed to Hardshell Cemetery for the 1:00 p.m. committal service.
