Imojean Lois Murphy Shaw

Imojean “Jean” Lois Murphy Shaw, age 88, a resident of Coker Creek community, TN passed away Friday, April 21, 2023.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Roy Shaw; sons, Vincent Keith, Steven and Gary Dexter Shaw; parents, Frank and Mamie Murphy; brothers, Frank “Jr.” Murphy and Kenneth Murphy.

Jean was a talented quilter and seamstress. She enjoyed cooking and listening to music. She was a people person and loved being around friends and family every chance she got. Her family meant the world to her and she loved them very much.

She is survived by her children, Debra Shaw Belcher and Dennis Shaw; sister, Vivian Murphy; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Coker Creek Cemetery.
