James "J.A." Athel Burger

James Athel “J.A.” Burger, age 83, a native of Tellico Plains and resident of Greeneville, TN, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his father, Luke Burger; mother, Myrtle Burger; brother, Denny Burger; sister, Aileen Queen.

He is survived by his brother, Ronny Burger; sister-in-law, Pat Burger; nephews, Lamar Burger and Will Queen; nieces, Aelana Queen, Kelli Queen, Kendra Buckna; great nephews, John Buckna, Liam Queen, Xander Queen and Kyle Queen; great nieces, Kaci Queen and Jadea  Fox; great-great niece, Kambree Fox; extended family; Toby and Jessica Willis, Aireanna, Brett, Parker and Carter Willis, Wilma Cutshaw, Lorie Sutton, Crystal, Alan and Courtney Dotson.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2022 at Myers Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, at Gray Memorial Cemetery/New Providence Cemetery with Rev. Bill Coppenger officiating.
