James "Jim" D. Morgan

James D.  “Old Man” Morgan, 85 of Tellico Plains, born January 31, 1935 to his parents John T. and Bertha Shaw Morgan, went to his heavenly home Saturday, January 16, 2021.

Jim enjoyed fishing and hunting. He and Barbara loved spending time bird watching, especially the martins and blue birds.  He was a member of New Providence Baptist Church and retired from Stokley and Johnson Control.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John T. and Bertha Shaw Morgan; daughter, Terrie Williams; mother and father in law G.W. and Mildred Lenderman.

He is survived by wife of 65 years, Barbara Lenderman Morgan; daughter, Donna Yates; grandchildren, Chris and Jessie Williams, Kevin Williams, Jamey and Kristie Yates, Josh and Brett Yates, brother and sister in law, Bob and Shirley Morgan; sister and brother in law, Loretta and Randall Miller; son in law Gary Williams and his wife Pam, great grandchildren, Jadon Yates, Jocey Yates, Joie Yates, Bree Yates, Addy Williams, Rori Williams, Zachery Williams, Ashton Williams, Madison Williams and Alex Williams; sister in law and husband Ann and Arlin Phillips; brothers in law and spouses Tommy and Meloda Lenderman, and Freddie and Teresa Lenderman, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
