James "Jim" Johnson

James "Jim" Johnson, age 78, of Madisonville passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Enoch and Arizona Johnson; two brothers, Larry and Tom and a sister Glenna. Jim was a member of New Bethany Baptist Church and was a longtime employee of Darrell's Auto Parts.

He is survived by his wife,Joanne Johnson; children, 2 daughters; Chris Truxell and Jaimi James; 5 sons; Mike, Tim, Jayson, Jarrod and Josh Johnson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Myers Funeral Home, Tellico Plains. A celebration of life memorial service will follow in the chapel of Myers Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. with his son, Rev. Jarrod Johnson and Rev. Matthew Johnson officiating. Myers Funeral Home of Tellico Plains in charge of arrangements.
