James R. “Jim” Sullivan, age 82, a native of FL and resident of Coker Creek, TN “left the building” on March 14, 2019 peacefully at home with his loving family and close friends by his side. He is now at the pearly gates.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Frank Sullivan; close friend, Charlie Young.
He served his country in the Air National Guard and retired as a Captain from Jacksonville, FL. Jim was employed for many years with FL Clark Lift, Blue Bird Commercial Business Corporation and National Bus Sales. He referred to himself a glorified salesman.
He is survived by his wife just shy of their 56 th anniversary, Nancy H. Sullivan of Coker Creek; sons and daughter-in-law, Phillip R. and Shirley Sullivan, of Miami, FL and Chris Sullivan of Pittsburg, PA; grandchildren, Mason and Madelyn Sullivan; close friends, Skip Colbert, Barry Wilder, Glenn Wilde, Don Lynn, Michael, Chassity and Cody Stone; and many, many other wonderful neighbors and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Ironsburg Methodist Church, 13290 New Hwy 68 with Rev. Bill Clark officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the East TN Kidney Foundation, P O Box 22012, Knoxville, TN 37933.
