Judy Rosetta Ivester Finley

Judy Rosetta Ivester Finley, age 74 of Martin, GA. and formerly of Tellico Plains passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A daughter of the late Otha C.A. Ivester, Sr. and Ruby Marvielee Williams Ivester, she was born August 12, 1943 in Stephens County, Georgia having moved to Tellico Plains, TN in 1981 and then moved back to Stephens County in 2016. She worked at the Cotton Mill in Toccoa for a number of years and was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Finley and by two brothers, Ronald Ivester and Otha C.A. Ivester, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, James Mackie Finley; two sons, Travis Ivester of Martin, GA and David Finley of Tellico Plains, TN; step-son, Rodney Finley and his wife Sandra of Lawrenceville, GA; two grandchildren, Tegan Finley and Gage Finley; two step-grandchildren, Michelle and Tony Finley; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Linda Ivester of Toccoa; sisters-in-law, Betty Ivester and Kay Murray both of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Druid Hills Baptist Church Sunday, June 10. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Eddie McDaniel officiating.
