Justin Tyler Freeman

October 10, 1984 — April 28, 2019

Bartlesville

Justin Tyler Freeman, Tellico Plains, age 34, born on October 10, 1984, went peacefully to his Heavenly home at 12:02 P.M. on Sunday, April 28 th in Bartlesville, OK.  His passing came after two weeks of battling the last stage of congestive heart failure. He grew up in the Rural Vale community of Tellico Plains, TN, in Maple Springs Baptist Church as a young boy and later became a member of Poplar Bluff Baptist Church, and was saved when he was 9 years old.  He rededicated his life to the Lord within the past year as was told to his parents by several who witnessed such. His parents, Roger and Traci Freeman, and brother, Alix Freeman were blessed to care for him while in the hospital and later at The Journey Home, a beautiful hospice house in Bartlesville, OK.  These two weeks were spent in true Justin fashion with lots of laughs and jokes combined with thanksgivings of life and family and many prayers with, for, and by him.  He passed with both parents at his bedside.

Justin is preceded in death by grandfathers, James W. Thornley, Reliance, and Albert Eugene Freeman, Tellico Plains, aunt Trisa Gail Thornley and great-grandfather, Colonel Bristow Hopper of Florida, and great-grandparents, Robert and Kate West of Tellico Plains.

Survivors include two children, Jagger James Freeman, age 7, Heber City, UT, and Jasper Arabella Hensley, age 11, Englewood; parents, Roger and Traci Freeman, who still reside in the Rural Vale community of Tellico Plains where Justin attended Rural Vale School and later graduated high school from Central High School of McMinn; brother, Alix Freeman, Knoxville; grandmothers Ann Thornley and Ermazo Freeman, Tellico Plains; aunts Debbie Rogers and Brenda Freeman, Tellico Plains, Missi Freeman, Athens; uncles Ricky and Bryan Freeman, Tellico Plains; and cousins, Ashley Bishop, Athens,  Tiffanny Sherlin, Sweetwater, and Jake Davis, Dayton.

Justin told his father he wanted his remains sprinkled on a river back home in TN and a simple ceremony.  He loved the outdoors, loved hard, and laughed even harder! His parents attest God gave Justin and them peace beyond their belief and would like to share the peace God gave Justin and them through the power of prayers these past several weeks with all that want to attend a Celebration of Peace gathering at their house on Saturday, June 8, at 7:00 P.M. There will be a campfire, music, special message, and refreshments.

In case of rain the Celebration of Peace service will be moved from the Freeman home to Justin's childhood church, Maple Springs Baptist Church 221 Maple Springs Rd. Tellico Plains, TN 37385
