Larry Junior Ingle, age 78, of Englewood, passed away, Tuesday, March 21, 2023.
He is preceded in death his parents, Elbert and Margaret Ingle; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gene and Anna Webb.
Larry was born on July 7, 1944. He joined the U.S. Navy, serving two tours in Vietnam with the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps. After returning home from the service, he married the love of his life Priscilla, they were married one day shy of 44 years. He worked as an LPN in McMinn County for most of his nursing career. Larry was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church for over 40 years where he also served as the song leader. He loved animals and enjoyed many hobbies that include reading westerns, metal detecting, and going to yard sales. Most of all Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and he loved each of them dearly.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Priscilla Webb Ingle; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Juanita Gilbert, and Paul and Nancy Webb; nephews and nieces, Jeff and Jo Gilbert, Julie Gilbert and Russ Parks, Kim Webb, Sharon Webb, Rebecca and Andy Houston, and Jeremy Gilbert; great-nephews and nieces, Justin and Demaris Miller, Cheyenne and Shane Graves, Chase Miller, Dylan and Jade Gilbert, MaKenna Thurman, Angel and Levi Lanter, Mac, Del, and Daren McJunkin, Austin Webb, and Reagan Houston; great-great nephews and niece, Ryder Graves, Xander Miller, Gracelynn Lanter; and great-step niece, Tristan Parks.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Tim Womac officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 12:00 noon Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Myers Funeral Home and will proceed to the family cemetery located by Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church for the 1:00 p.m. committal service with military honors by Navy Funeral Honor and Monroe Co. V.F.W. Post 5156. The great nephews will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers family ask donations be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or The Gideons International at P.O Box 821 Sweetwater, TN 37874. Myers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
