Larry Allen Oliver

Larry Allen Oliver, age 62, of Friendsville, TN passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Minnie Oliver; sister, Ada Oliver Wheatley; nephews, Chad Oliver, and Jimmy Wheatley; and sister-in-law, JoAnn Oliver.

Larry was the past President of Cades Coves Preservation Association (CCPA), past President of the Oliver Reunion, and previous Pastor of the Church of God. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, camping, riding horses and being with his family.

His survivors include his wife, Glenda Oliver; son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Kristin Oliver; step-daughter, Christie Harmon; his beloved pet dog and companion, Rascal; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Raj Reddy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry and Louise Oliver, Danny and Sue Oliver, Wayne Oliver, Floyd and Brenda Oliver, David and Carol Oliver, and Willy and Jan Oliver; grandchildren, Marleigh, Wynna, and Emma Oliver and Jaden Basler; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2017 at The Meadow Church of God on William Blount Drive, with Bishop Ronald Reagan officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., prior to the service at the church. Myers Funeral Home of Tellico Plains in charge of arrangements.
