Linda Massie

Linda Massie, age 67, of Tellico Plains, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at her residence while surrounded by her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Leonard Owen Massie, Jr.; Father, Bill Taylor; Mother, Margie Hicks Walker; brother, Claude William Taylor and grandson, Caleb Massie.

She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church. She was a devoted grandma and loved spending time with all her grandchildren. Her favorite pastime was shopping with her sister.

She is survived by sister and brother-in-law, Ina and Stanley Brannon of Coker Creek, TN; daughter,Pamela Chambers of Tellico Plains, TN; sons and daughters-in-law,Charles Ellis ofTellico Plains, TN,Wayne and Mary Massie of Madisonville, TN,Claude and Beth Massie of Tellico Plains, TN; 10 Grandchildren,Savannah Ellis, Sasha Ellis, Amanda Massie, Amber Massie, Emmalea Rogers, Sharon Decker, Grace Wilson, Alyssa and Will Chambers and Katrina Spencer; great- grandbaby,Nehemiah Gaona; nephew,Chuck and Cindy Hunt; niece,Patty Myers; great nieces and nephews,Carrie White, Sabrina Martin, and Brad Hunt; great-great-nephews,Trey, Tyler and Dylan Martin.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Myers Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steven McDonald and Rev. Michael Jacobs officiating. Family and friends will assemble at Myers Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2016 and proceed to Coppinger Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.
