Linda Gail Massingale

Linda Gail Massingale, age 69, of Tellico Plains, TN went to be with her husband Doug and her Lord, Monday, October 17, 2022.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas “Custer” Massingale; daughter, Candy Massingale; great-granddaughter, Adalynn Faith Murphy; great-grandson, Clay Massingale; father, Junior Leon Kirkland; and brothers, Michael Lee, James Leon and Timothy Kirkland.

Linda was a member of The River of Life Ministry and a longtime employee of Tellico Beach Drive In. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with and caring for her grandkids and great-grandkids.

She is survived by her son, Deon Massingale; daughter, Tanya Massingale; grandchildren, Kainan and Kareus Kinne, Haley Marie, Deon, and Kayla Massingale, and Brianna Ruth Porter; great-grandchildren, Asher Adams, Brancin, Easton, Raylynn Grace, and Evelyn Faith Massingale and Nakoah Moss; mother, Geraldean Kirkland, sisters, Karen Brown, Tina Abernathy Ivens and Krystal Rinehart; brother, Richard Kirkland; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 8:00 p.m., in Myers Funeral Home with Rev. Mickey Payne officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 1:30 p.m., at the funeral home Thursday, October 20, 2022 and proceed to Massingale Cemetery for the 2:30 p.m. committal service.
