Loretta V Hampton

Loretta V. Hampton, age 78, of Tellico Plains, TN, went to heaven to play the harp for Jesus, on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, while surrounded by her family and loved ones at her home in Tellico Plains, TN.

She was a testimony of love to her family and all that knew her. Loretta treasured time spent with her grandbabies and hearing their laughter brought her great joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lucy McCullough; and brothers, Bill and Ulis McCullough.

Survivors include her husband, A.C. Hampton of Tellico Plains, TN; daughters and son-in-law, Marsha and Teddy Dockery of Tellico Plains, TN and Carrie Patterson of Dalton, GA; grandchildren and spouses, Becky and Jeremiah Burgess, Timothy and Alicia Moses, Amanda Moses, Kevin and LaKisha Hobbs, Jerrid and Brittany Schroeder; great-grandchildren, Kiara, Neyland, Lucas, Ariana, Kali, Bryson, Andreas, Kaydence, Landon, Noah, and Korbin; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Paulette McCullough of Englewood, TN; special friends, Sandra and Ricky Martin and Scott McCullough; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Myers Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Norwood Hill House of Prayer Cemetery with Wayne Lee officiating. Myers Funeral Home of Tellico Plains is in charge of services.
