Margie Elizabeth Williams Jones

Margie Elizabeth Williams Jones, age 72, of Tellico Plains peacefully earned her wings Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital, completely surrounded by love.

She attended Telllico Plains Church of God very faithfully. Truly the most giving, lovable person to all she met. Being able to provide meals and to help others brought her great joy. She had a "green thumb" and received pleasure in growing and sharing her roses.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carson and Nellie Williams; brothers and sister, Arlin Williams, Mary Ruth Hooper, Buford Williams and Benny Williams; and her grandson, Matthew Barrett, Jr.

Her survivors include her loving family and friends; daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Matthew Barrett of Tellico Plains, TN and Christine and Brandon Bowie of Madisonville, TN; sons and daughters-in-law, Adam and Selena Williams , James and Diane Hicks both of Tellico Plains, TN, and Steve Hicks of Athens, TN; grandchildren, Leland, Hudson, Matt, Emily, Ally, Heather, Josh, Autumn and Dustin; great -grandchildren, Austin, Shelby, Isaac, Patrick, Elijah, Tanner, Jacelynn and Riley; caretaker and special family friend, Margie Roberts; best friends and sisters-in-law, Kay Williams and Jean Haines; special friends, Loretta Hall and Phyllis Robbin; a very special niece, Sharon Calhoun and severalnieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerry Dodd and Layspeaker Darwin Ledford officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 12:00 noon Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Myers Funeral Home and proceed to Maple Springs Cemetery for the 1:00 p.m. committal service.
