Max Cook

Max Cook, age 54, of Tellico Plains went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by his family Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ora Sr. and Jimmie Sue Cook; sisters, Sandra Buckner, Ellari Davis and brothers, Dan, Benton, and Ronnie Cook.

Whenever Max had the opportunity you would find him playing the guitar and singing. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carissa and Allen McLemore of Tellico Plains; sons, Ethan Cook and Merle Cook both of Madisonville; fiancé, Cheryl Hurst of Tellico Plains; sister and brother-in-law, Melb and Roy Marcus of North Carolina; brother and sister-in-law, Ora and Barbara Cook of McMinnville, TN; special friends, Teddy and Marsha Dockery, Emma Berger and Cheyenne McClain; grandbaby, Mason Cook; special nephew and wife, Tommy and Starlene Cook; special cousin and wife, Dahl Cook and Lene Keith; several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Myers Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Henry Lee Thomas officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions for the funeral service may be made to Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 132, Tellico Plains, TN 37385.
