Norma Ruth Wilson

Norma Ruth Wilson, age 63, of Tellico Plains went to her heavenly home on Thursday, February 25, 2021 after a brief illness.

She was preceded in death by her father, James T. Peels; mother, Wilma Jean Bowers; and brother Willie Peels. Norma loved attending church at the House of Prayer. In her spare time, she could be found feeding the birds and growing flowers.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Rhonda Waugh and Jeff and Sonya Waugh all of Cleveland, TN; sisters Barbara Hooper, Kathy Farmer, and Lisa Yarber; brother, Ronnie Peels; grandchildren, Ravyn Waugh, Justin Underwood, Michael and Misty Farris, Savanna, Tyler, and Michael Bredeson; 18 great-grandchildren and special friend, Francis Stewart.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel with Minister Hubert Wilson officiating. The committal service will follow at Norwood Hill House of Prayer Cemetery.
